How do i transfer photos from my Nikon D60 to my Mac?

Check your 60 disk & install your mac. If no disk found so check your usb cable then conect to mac then install 60's driver click conect mode then use your mac check 60 folder.(dtej)

Don't bother with cables or special software!

The easiest and best method to transfer photos and video from your camera to your computer is via a little USB card reader (which are very cheap these days and widely available).

Plug the reader into a USB port and insert the memory card.
It will show up as a drive, and you can simply drag and drop the photos across to the folder of your choice.

Card readers also work for moving photos from the computer onto a card (in case you want to take a few photos to get printed - NOT for viewing on the camera purposes).

Nikon D60 Software Downloads- The D60 is the third incarnation of Nikon's compact, user-friendly entry-level SLR line that started back in 2006 with the D40 (which replaced the first Nikon ‘starter' model, the D50). The original D40 was a hugely important camera for Nikon and can be given a lot of the credit for the resurgence in Nikon's fortunes at the volume end of the SLR market (which had been totally dominated by Canon since the launch of the EOS 300D / Digital Rebel). The D40's success (which continued long after the D40X made its swift appearance only 6 months later) isn't hard to explain; it was keenly priced, nicely designed, and built and capable of excellent results.

Technology from the pro models also to be inherited by the D60 includes Active D-Lighting, a more advanced version of the older D-Lighting function found on older models. The new version can be applied before taking the image or afterward in-camera to preserve details in, particularly difficult lighting conditions. Examples of this would be when a subject is backlit against a bright sky, or when there is an extreme of dark and light when the details may get lost.

Nikon D60 And Feature

The fact that the D60 looks almost exactly like the D40x probably doesn't help Nikon's public perception on this model. In our first briefing on this camera, Nikon even said that it has the exact same form factor as the D40x. Of course, that's not a bad thing, since the design is good. At 19.4 ounces with a battery and an SD card, and without a lens, it's lightweight enough to shoot comfortably for a day, and the kit lens is one of the lightest Nikon lenses I've worked with, so it doesn't add much weight.

The D60 is a 10.2 megapixel DSLR featuring an optical viewfinder with Eye Sensor (which automatically turns off the LCD when the user brings his/her eye to the viewfinder eyepiece) that stores images to SD/SDHC/MMC memory media. Other leading features include a 2.5-inch LCD, the new Expeed processing concept (first seen in the pro-level D300 and D3 models), 3D Color Matrix Metering II (with 420-pixel sensor), Multi CAM530 three-point autofocus, a digital rangefinder (for more accurate manual focusing), Active D-Lighting (for improved dynamic range), Nikon's new Airflow Control sensor cleaning system, and a new stabilized version of the popular AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 G kit zoom.
